I am a Vancouver based website builder/Drupal front end developer. I am a one person Drupal shop. I can get work done quickly and at a reasonable cost to you. I draw on the skills of graphic artists when needed.

I have been proudly the using Drupal content management system since 2006. It is an extremely solid, secure and highly versatile platform. With a little coaxing it can do amazing things. I do the coaxing.

Brand New

We just launched the new version of www.ferniechamber.com. Vanessa Croome of Claris Media and I have been laboring over this for the last couple of months. After much deliberation, we created a business directory for the town of Fernie. We looked at existing models for business directories and were not really happy with any of them. So we created are own. I migrated all of the content from an existing Drupal 6 site over to this Drupal 7 platform. Importing hundreds of nodes at a time with taxonomy terms and images is a complicated but doable. This does have a pretty steep learning curve though.
So much information!

Not only that, the site has a responsive theme.
So the next time you are in Fernie and you need to find a campground or a burger, check it out the site on your iPhone.

Client Claris Media

I developed this site working with Vanessa Croome @ Claris Media.
I migrated all of the content from an existing Drupal 6 over to this Drupal 7 platform. This was a learning experience.
After much deliberation, we created a business directory for the town of Fernie. We looked at other models for business directories. We were not really happy with any of them so we created are own.

This site replaces a large html site that was a beautiful thing in its day, but became almost impossible to keep current. This is a Drupal 7 site. The visual design is based on the previous site.
I completely reworked the structure and presentation to allow for easy content creation and updating. This was a fun project, an exercise in information architecture and functionality.

Client Safety Wizard

This is the newest (Drupal 7) version of the SafetyWizard software; it has been completely re-factored. The functionality has been extended so that it is now much easier to deploy and manage. The focus has changed so now it is project centric. Managers of specific projects can now administer all of the functionality from within the context of the custom project UI.

There are big changes going on at CFRO (Co-op Radio Vancouver). This is from their announcement.

On September 10, 2012 CFRO moved to 100.5 FM. This new frequency will help us broadcast the same great community-driven, independent, passionate programming but with a stronger signal. Our policies haven't changed and our station is still a co-operative located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

This new site features a lot of what you're used to, but we've added a few new features including a new video player, a quick favourite show selector, a featured show section, and a more streamlined events panel titled 'What's Going On...

Client Passion for Action

This is an e-commerce site. It features free demos and sells subscriptions to its carbon management software. In this application, Drupal is integrated with an external database driven flash based carbon calculator. Subscriptions are handled using Drupal's Übercart suite and Role Expiry.
When I built this, I spent a crazy amount of time fighting with one particular module's functionality that was still in the development phase. It all worked out though.

My Work

I have worked with NGO's, artists, businesses and first nation organizations. A good part of my work has been for environmental campaigns and businesses with a green agenda. I try to do my part.

This is a Drupal 7 site. Google Web Fonts are used for the title fonts.The theme was recently changed to a sub-theme of Omega. The site now has responsive design.
